We have been busy learning in Grade One!
Our Home Reading Program is underway and we appreciate all the volunteers who have helped out so far. In Language Arts, we are practicing word wall words and journal writing.
The patterning unit in math is complete and we are exploring numbers to 20.
In Social Studies we have learned about all the groups we belong to. We have loved Walking Wednesdays and looking for landmarks in our community.
We had fun mixing colours in Science and enjoyed a special Teacher's Pet presentation.
It's important to be safe and in Health we learned about playground and fire safety, including a visit from a real fireman!
We share a daily Bible story and song and discuss all the ways we can be like Jesus.
